EMOTIONS CAN BE AN INVISiBLE BARRIER HOLDING YOU BACK

For years I thought it would be easier to shove my fears & Pain down deep inside instead of working through them

As I have walked my journey, I’ve begun to recognize that i had emotions and perceptions that have really held me back from living a life filled with happiness, love, purpose and abundance.

I’ve learned to pay more attention to what triggers me now. And what perceptions keep me stuck. I’ve did alot of inner work to discover my authentic self and experience freedom to be happy And feel alive.

I’m sharing what I’ve learned, hoping that I can help you navigate through your own journey with more peace, happiness and freedom.

Below i share how emotional healing can clear the way to discover your authentic self and live your life with more passion and purpose

EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE

The emotional baggage we carry can make us feel like we’re riding an emotional rollercoaster

  • This rollercoaster can lift us into happier emotions of love and light when we are aligned with our truth…then it comes crashing down into patterns of negative emotions such as anger, resentment and fear. These unhealed emotions can present themselves as triggers when you interact with people. The key to moving through your trigger is to understand that it is an unhealed emotion or perception that is waving a flag at you to be recognized and healed. What from your past is this person or situation causing you to react with frustration, anger, resentment, feeling of unworthiness and so on?

EMOTIONAL HEALING IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR PERSONAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  • As you begin to embody more of your truth and light- you may feel emotions come up for healing. This is a process of bringing light to aspects of yourself that are hidden. Also known as the shadow aspects of yourself that want to be healed. Sometimes our emotions are heavy and they feel like a fog over your life. I’ve been been through this in several areas of my life and I’m sooo grateful that I allowed the emotions to come up so I could move forward.
  • Emotions are a part of our human experience to navigate through. We are taught by our family, culture and by our own perceptions how to process them. In many ways we have learned to ignore them in unhealthy ways. The more you can incorporate self-love and healing, the happier and more vibrant your life can become.

WE ARE NOT OUR EMOTIONS

While emotions are a part of our experience, they don’t need to hold us captive. The times in my life that I felt stuck were the times I was just stuck in a pattern or emotion.

  • It was when I became aware of it, I was able to move through it by slowing down my roll, practicing more self-care and taking time to quiet my mind.
  • Be open to pausing before you react and witness your emotion.

DEVELOP A MIDNFULNESS PRACTICE

Developing mindfulness practices can help you become more aware of your emotions, triggers and reactions.

I’ve recently had red flags come up in my emotional and physical state. Red flags were feeling a sense of being stuck, frustrated and drained. My body felt stiff and out of alignment. I recognized the flags and made time to recalibrate with self-care and think more about what was triggering me.

  • Meditating, going out in nature or using using your creativity can help process emotions and allows epiphanies of understanding and inspiration to surface.
  • Awareness offers an opportunity to let go and heal.
  • By holding onto negative emotions and not allowing them to process can result in emotions being stored into your emotional, spiritual and physical energy fields. This stagnation can compound and lead to negative effects in your health and quality of life.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO DIG IN

What emotional baggage could you be carrying?

  • Perspectives, limiting beliefs, family, friends, relationships, others who have made an impact in your experiences.
  • Feelings can range from fear, guilt, shame, resentment, unworthiness, rejection and seperation to name a few.
  • Digging in allows space for better experiences to come.

BECOME THE OBSERVER

Allow your emotions to come to the surface. The goal is to view and understand the root that the negative emotion is revealing.

There have been times when I thought I had gone backwards in my progress, but really I had outgrown old patterns and circumstances and I was at a higher level of understanding- looking down from a bird’s eye view seeing what I was ready to move on from.

  • What is out of alignment in your life?
  • Do you need to look at how you are perceiving a person, situation or experience with a higher perspective?
  • Do you need to make some changes for your own happiness and wellbeing?

SURRENDER FOR HEALING

There have been many emotions and experiences that I have had to surrender in order to heal. Some things I have had a lot of resistance to letting go and it was holding me in an unhealthy way…I realized I needed let go and surrender to a higher power for healing assistance.

  • Are there experiences and perceptions that you need to surrender so you can move forward?
  • Our experiences can bring blessings of strength, compassion and resilancy if you allow them to. You can overcome your hardships and use your experiences to help others who need a guiding light. You have the strength within you already, you just need to see it.

FORGIVE

Forgive others and forgive yourself. This is the path to living with an open heart.

  • While there may be someone or something that has been a part of your experience you didn’t have control over, you can release the attachment to the person or experience so you can heal.
  • Allowing yourself to live with an open heart creates miracles of transformation and healing to everyone around you too.

TUNE INTO GRATITUDE

Gratitiude is a powerful practice in transforming your life for the better.

  • Practice sitting into what you are grateful for. This allows for more abundance and miracles to come into your life.
  • Gratitude also helps you see a high perspective on the relisancy you have developed over the course of your life.
  • Create a daily practice of gratitude and watch your life transform before your eyes.
