MAKEOVER YOUR MORNING

Morning Routine Ideas That Will Make You WANT To Wake Up Early

Makeover your morning! Have you struggled with sticking to a morning routine? I totally have.

After committing to adopt more self-love practice in my life, I learned how to make my mornings more rejuvenating. I now wake up earlier, enjoy the stillness and have a morning routine that I truly enjoy waking up to.

As I have been working on my (continuous) journey of transformation, I realized how important the morning time was for me to become centered, grounded and energized for the day before I give time to everyone else in my life. Doing so, I’m way more chill and I’m able to give more to the world around me.

I’ve put together a list of ideas to help you create a morning that you love too! Try things out and see what works for you. We are going progress here- not perfection.

MAKEOVER YOUR MORNING

  1. WAKE UP CONSISTENTLY- Train your body to wake up before the alarm goes off. This will help you feel more refreshed as you wake up.
  2. NO SNOOZE- The morning time is when you can make time for YOU before you start taking care of everyone else. Go to bed on time so you won’t hit that snooze button.
  3. GET SOME SUNLIGHT- Open the shades and let the sunlight fill your space.
  4. HYDRATE- Replenish your body with water. Your body has been working hard overnight to heal and it needs you need to flush out toxins in the morning.
  5. HOT BEVERAGE- Drink coffee, hot tea or warm water with lemon. I LOVE my morning coffee. A warm beverage warms you up with tasty goodness. Prep your coffee pot the night before so it’s ready when you wake up. 😉
  6. BREAKFAST– Make sure you refuel with healthy foods to set your day up right. When you start out by eating good in the morning, you will be more likely stick to good food choices for the rest of the day.
  7. STRETCH OR YOGA- Gentle stretches or yoga will help you move the energy in your body. This will help you feel renewed by releasing stored tension.
  8. EXERCISE– Yup. I said it… and you know you should do it. I commit to at least 20 minutes of exercise every day. 20 minutes is manageable and definitely doable. Check out my workout fav’s here.
  9. GO FOR A WALK- A great option for exercise. Get out in nature and give yourself some time to think.
  10. MORNING MANTRASMantras are intentions for a centered life. Using intentions throughout your day- when you wake up, exercise, do yoga or meditate will give you power, energy and presence during the moments throughout your day.
  11. MEDITATE– My morning meditation time significantly changed my life. Relax, breathe and slow down your thoughts. Your mind, body and spirit connection strengthens by the regular practice of meditation. Check out Calm. It’s my favorite meditation app.
  12. AFFIRMATIONS– Set some intentions for your day. Get grounded and speak words over your life that will bring your dreams and goals into reality. Your reality is created by your most dominate thoughts- so make sure you are tuned to love frequency so miracles occur naturally for you.
  13. JOURNAL- Write your thoughts down and let them just flow onto paper. If you are looking to find clarity on something- write the question down that’s on your mind and journal the answer that comes to you.
  14. GRATITUDE- Make a mental or written list in your journal of what you are grateful in your life.
  15. PRAY– Build your faith. Believe in a higher power than yourself. Surrender your fears and control and allow for divine support to flow into your life.
  16. READ- Grab your coffee and curl up in a cozy seat to read a chapter or two. Reading is a great way to invest in yourself.
  17. MAKE YOUR BED- A easy way to start your day put together and organized.
  18. DRESS UP– When you look good you feel good. Wear something that makes you feel good about yourself. Pull your look together with some makeup and a pretty hairstyle.
  19. SCHEDULE YOUR DAY– Review or write out your plan for the day. Schedule your most important projects first if you can. Strive to accomplish a small number of tasks each day. Be realistic so you don’t stress yourself out.
  20. GET INSPIRED- Read or listen to something that inspires you. Inspired action creates positive change and momentum.

Strive for Progress…Not Perfection.

Don’t think that you need to do ALL of these ideas at once. Try what interests you and see if you like it. If you would like to start a new habit- try committing to a routine for 21 days.

Don’t feel discouraged if you fail, fall off or struggle with your motivation. I have been there before too. Take one step at a time- one day at a time if you need to. Ask yourself- how would you be happier if you made the change? How would your life be better? And remember-you are so worth it!

I believe in you with all my 💚
